Free Polystyrene Prices Trend and Forecast New York

In Q4, the Polystyrene Prices observed to be slipped compared with Q2 and Q1. The prices hit their lowest in the last week of December where prices dropped to $2140/ton GPPS FAS Houston. Polystyrene exports declined in the opportunistic arbitrages with China and Europe amid US domestic supply length due to reduced derivative styrene operating rate. Another factor that come into play is the dominance of Taiwan in the feedstock Styrene export in the globe. However, the strong freight charges and demand deterioration fell the US Polystyrene prices in the market.
