New Delhi: “Sarvepalli Dr. Radhakrishnan was an Indian philosopher and statesman who served as the second President of India. One of the most distinguished twentieth-century scholars of comparative religion and philosophy, Radhakrishnan believed that “teachers should be the best minds in the country”. Since 1962, his birthday has been celebrated in India as Teacher’s Day on 5 September every year,” said Sushil Bharti Festival Director remembering the great leader at the beginning of session on the third day of 7th Global Literary Festival Noida 2021.
“Literary non-fiction is a type of writing which uses similar techniques as fiction to create an interesting piece of writing about real events. Common literary examples of nonfiction include expository, argumentative, functional, and opinion pieces; essays on art or literature; biographies; memoirs; journalism; and historical, scientific, technical, or economic writings including electronic ones,” session initiated by Sandeep Marwah President of Festival.
“Most nonfiction is written to express or inform. If the author’s purpose is to express, the concepts expressed are always based on true, real-life situations. Because of this, one could argue all nonfiction serves to inform the reader, as well,” added Dr. Prem Janmejay a well-known writer.
